Bio
Matthias Donnelly has been a musical fixture in the Northeast for over 30 years. He plays with many of the area’s most popular bands including The Brokenhearted (A Tribute to Tom Petty), Alice Frost (A Tribute to the music of "Yes"), The Bluz House Rockers (appearing with Delbert McClinton and Friends) and The South Street Saints (voted the North Country's best live band).
He has written movie scores, music for musical theater, recorded commercials, instructional soundtracks and arranged for marching band. He has performed on several recordings including Bob Warren's CD releases of “The Poet In Me", "All The Days In The World" and "My Town" (all available through Fool's Hill Music).
Matt has opened for such musical greats as Brian Auger and Eric Burdon and played in the bands for The Platters, The Drifters and The Coasters. He performed on a "hit pick" on the Billboard Hot 100, played piano on WMHT for a live jazz series and performed on national television on “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”.
He enjoys an eclectic mix of music covering jazz, swing, rock, country and pop from the 20’s to today. He is equally comfortable playing for an intimate cocktail party or on a national stage. His equipment is state-of-the-art with digital keyboards, digital mixing consoles, powered speakers, subwoofers and theatrical lighting.
